Demin Breeches vs Jeggins- Winter Essentials

Denim Breeches or Jeggings are essential this Winter!

At Kmart, you can find easy to fit, super cheap, soft stretchy Jeggings for $15.00AUD a pair.
Positives:  You can ride in them, they are super cheap, they come in 4 colours- dark & light demin, black and olive, they are stretchy, soft, and comfortable.  Negatives- They’re cheap- so they don’t last very long and they get snags.  Don’t’ except them to last past this winter, but for that price- pick up a few pairs!
OR
You can Splurge on these amazing stylish denim breeches from ANKY!  They make you look 5kgs lighter, beautifully cut with great fabrics and amazing zipper details!  LOVE THEM and you can see why!
They can easily be worn with tall brown boots or black heels to go out in!

Winter Essentials- Vests

I think I wear a vest more often than any other piece of clothing for the changing temperatures Australia has, especially during the Winter!

I really love the new HV POLO Senga Vest.  It retails for $160.00.  It comes in a beautiful blue or deep raspberry maroon.  The faux fur collar is removable, the cut of the vest is flattering on any body type, it has double zippers, good pockets and a slimming waist.    My Save choice is the Dublin Tara Vest- simple and plain in a classic Navy.  Quilted fabric, button closure, elastic waist- easy choice to save but still have a nice vest.

My evaluation – Need a new coat? Which jacket could you get the most use out of?

Ok, so if you need a coat, but you can only afford one- Here’s my breakdown.
-Barbour makes a great trench that’s reversible.  It comes in a bone white, a coral color and a navy.  I would go with navy, personally. One the inside, theres a great tartan plaid that you can also wear. Stay dry and have two choices of looks!
- If you are looking for a true tweed- Timothy Foxx is my new favorite.  Incredible details, good price range and nice color choices.  As much as I love the longer “Catherine” Tweed Jacket in the Foxglove blue color, the Isla Jacket in the Duchess or Goosberry color is my pick for getting the most uses/bang for your buck.

The Isla Jacket in the middle.  You can wear it truely three seasons out of the year, even on cool evenings in the summer.  You can wear the jacket as a jacket, but also in and out of work, life, etc….  wear it as a blazer, wear it with jeans, skirts, dresses, shorts, slacks, etc… weat it with anything- the only struggle you will have is WHAT COLOR?

Softshell Jacket Comparison

S

oftshell Jackets are in right now.  There are many choices, details, and price ranges to fit any budget.  They are a great investment piece to have in your closet.  Three season, comfy fleece feeling on the inside with a smooth tougher outer shell that repels hair, hay & dirt.  If you really love this kind of jacket, my first choice is from Asmar Equestrian, they have put fashion and technical features in their jacket that you can wear everywhere.

Country Boot Comparison

This is a great boot to have as a staple item in your closet. You can wear then with just about any outfit, they are comfortable, durable, and you will receive years of compliments from others.  I would recommend that if you love this boot style,  get a better pair because you will find yourself wearing them often and they will be worth it.

I have a pair myself, it was an emergency purchase one day.  I was working, on a cold wet day, my shoes were soaked and the water was creeping up my pants!  I was miserable and happen to be driving by one of my favorite saddleries, Horsemen’s Outlet.  I ran in and quickly purchased a pair of the Dublin River Boots.  I have worn them ever since, I always get compliments on them, and they have traveled around the world with me including crossing Australia!
